Beautiful Northwest

Hard to believe that one year ago I was in Washington. Every morning I woke up to a view of Mt. Ranier. Every day I got a glimpse of the Pugent Sound. The trees were tall and went for miles. Coffee shops were within walking distance. It was the most beautiful place I've ever seen.

One of my favorite places in Washington was Sumner; a cozy little town with lots of antiques, bakeries and charming shops.

If you go, you must visit these stores!

(My absolute favorite store)

(Oh, sweet rhubarb pie!)

If I ever had to start my life over, I know exactly where I'd want to be.

Coming right along...

Over vacation, Justin worked hard on building our new patio. We finally finished it up this past weekend. We painted old metal chairs I found at a flea market and Justin decided to paint a star on an old milk jug we had sitting in the shed. We planted wild flowers in the flower bed.

I think it turned out nice.

Let's fly.

In the early 1960's, Jonny L. Hubek served in the United States Air Force.
He was a great man, a veteran, a hero.
He was also my grandfather.

I don't remember much of my "papaw." He passed away when I was just 3 years old.
My only memories were going to the junk yard, eating cow tails, and listening to stories of the military.

Over vacation, Justin and I visited Wright Patterson Air Force Base Museum in honor of my grandfather.

I have been MIA the past few weeks. Work has been overly stressful. We are short two people in the office so I've been putting in some serious OT... on top of working my other job. The last thing I wanted to do when I got home was sit on the computer.

So last week I took a break from it all and had a 10 day Staycation!

The week consisted of plenty of sunshine, cat naps, good food, and slave labor.

Dude did lots of lazing around the house.

Cali hung out in her bag.

The boys slept in every day.

Sparklers at 10 a.m.

Car rides out in the country.

Starting on the new patio.

Almost finished with the new patio.

Kisses for Dad's hard work.

Best. Yogurt. Ever.
